Food Trucks
Food truck popularity has risen exponentially across the country and Oahu is along for the ride. Some of the best food trucks I have tried have been right here on the North Shore. Here is a list of our families favorite food trucks:
Pupukea Grill- This one takes the cake for #1 best food truck on the North Shore. Located right across from Sharks Cove, they offer some seriously good food. Their menu is vast with items ranging from local style plate lunches to tacos to sushi! Some of the items we highly recommend are the hummus wrap, spicy tuna bowl, and the shoyu chicken plate lunch.
Sharks Cove Grill- Sharks Cove Grill is located directly next to Foodland in a lot with a few other food truck options. However, this one is one of our favorites. The Ahi sandwich is unforgettable. We recommend the hurricane fries and a tropical smoothie.
Giovannis Shrimp Truck- Run, don’t walk. The garlic shrimp plate is the best on the island. Trust me, we have tried them all. There is no need to stop anywhere else for a shrimp plate!
Sunrise Shack- This isn’t a food truck in a traditional sense but it deserves an honorable mention. Located across from the world famous Sunset Beach, Sunrise shack has great coffee, açaí bowls, smoothies, avocado toast, juices, and much more. They are the only ones to offer bulletproof coffee on the North Shore.
Panda Thai- Amazing Thai food on the North Shore! Highly recommend stopping by here for a great meal. Panda Thai does get crowded so I would recommend calling in your order well before you are hungry. We like to pick it up and enjoy it at home to catch the sunset.
Impossibles Pizza- This guy has no set hours, no set days, no set location. But when you see his truck, STOP! He hand makes all the pizzas and when they sell out, they close. The last known hours are Thursdays and Fridays, 2:30- 7:30, parked next to the fire station at Three Tables Beach. Many say its the best pizza on the island!
Sandys Sandwiches- Small blue trailer located in front of Sharks Cove. Sandy hand crafts a wide variety of artisanal sandwiches that are too die for. The turkey and brie, chicken pesto, and caprese are some of our favorites. Whenever we see him, we also stop to support this local gem.
